About the Friends

May 2025

The Friends of the Half Moon Bay Library is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN 94-2939460). The Friends support our local library by enhancing programs for adults, teens and children of all ages and backgrounds in our community.

We are extremely proud of the achievements below

  • We maintain financial support to the library for the Youth and Adult Meals Program. The program provides about 60 meals every day to those in need in our community.

  • We are pleased to be working in partnership with the Coastside Community School Backpack Drive by donating childrens books and financial support.

  • We have an eBay bookstore for unusual, rare, or collectible books that have been donated. This bookstore has been an increasingly valuable source of revenue.

  • We have Monthly Book Sales at the library on the 3rd Saturday of the month. These are a major source of revenue for us. And check out our Book Cart and Bookshelves anytime the library is open for gently-used fiction and non-fiction!
